Who we are:
My name is Brian. I have been riding and operating Mechanical Bulls since the mid-90's. I got
on my first real bull at the tender age of 27, which in reality made an old-timer even then in this
young man's game. I tried to make a run as a professional bull rider in 1996, and won several
trips to the hospital and a lot of time sleeping in my truck and working odd jobs from Texas to
Nebraska to the West Coast. About 300 bull rides later I turned 30 laid up on a friends couch
with a steel rod in my leg. I went back to software of all things, a skill I had picked up in the
Army even though I was trained to be in the infantry. From 1997 on, I was a software
consultant for large corporations, (Boeing, AT&T), and State, Federal and local government. I
was at Boeing when 9/11 hit, and though I had been there 2 years, I and about 5,000 other
folks were gone in 3 weeks. Tired of office jobs, I took my rodeo background, mechanical bull
experience, and what was left on several credit cards and started this company with my wife
and our 2  children.
But enough about me.

Our main focus is safety. That's probably something everyone says, but in this business, you
run safely or you are not around long. These machines are safe in the hands of someone with
good hand-eye coordianation and attention to detail. The fact that all my operators have ridden
mechanical bulls and often real bulls means they know first hand the risks and the proper
technique for riders.

Our second most important consideration is authenticity. There are a lot of types of mechanical
bulls out there. Most of what you see are made by amusement companies that make a lot of
other attractions as well. They work but they look like toys. Most of the kind I am talking about
are run by electric motors that are not very responsive and many do not stop quickly enough
for our tastes. When you couple that with the fact that the operators that come with them are
often running a bouncer one day, a rock wall the next and a bull at your event, it makes you
wonder. The machines we run were designed to train college rodeo cowboys. When Cal (The
owner of A&P Equipment that builds our bulls) saw the positive response from the cowboys
and all the interest he was getting from commercial interests, he began to offer them on the
general market. All the insurance companies I have talked to recognize his machines as one of,
if not the, safest machine on the market.  The bottom line here is that we do not show up to
run the "ride", dump you off and on to the next one.
We love bull riding and bulls, and it
shows at our events.
We go out of our way to provide a bullriding experience to the rider and
an appreciation of the sport.
The day when we have to run it like a carnival ride to stay
competitive, we're getting out.

Among the many advantages of booking a mechanical bull from Mashell River
Productions:

Authentic and Professional Staff:
Each of our operators have provided thousands
of safe, thrilling rides for people of all ages and abilities. Not only are they expert
operators, they are often experienced bull riders themselves, having each competed in
many rodeos as bull riding contestants.

Top of the line equipment:      All our machines are manufactured by A&P Equipment
of Murtaugh, ID. We are an authorized dealer in these machines also. Each machine is
custom built and has a fully variable buck and spin speed, which allows our expert
operators to completely control the speed and action of the ride to suit the rider's ability.
They can provide a safe ride for anyone age 3 and up, yet have the power when
appropriate to buck off professional bull riders.

State Certification:      Our machines meet all codes and requirements in the US, and we
are liscensed and inspected in each state in which we operate where required.

Value:      Even through we provide exceptional staffing and equipment, we are also one
of the most affordable providers in the country. We can often be competitive with local
providers even though we have to travel over a thousand miles to do the job.
"Thank you for having your bull at
the  Lynden fair this year...  I
have never ridden one before, but
always wanted to.  I loved
VERY minute of it.  Thank you
again...."
